LAMP was started by Larry and Monica Parks, folks who love to eat. Larry has been barbecuing since he was itty biddy. He perfected the cooking process years ago, but was tired of the flavors he was getting with the spices and rubs found in the typical grocery store. More salt than flavor, he set out to create a rub that was less salt, all the flavor, and still yielded the best from whatever meat he decided to throw on the grill that day.

Monica’s ideas for her jams, jellies, and pickled foods came from her grandmother’s kitchens and the flavors she grew up with as a child. Grandma Birdie would do watermelon rinds every summer, but the never lasted long enough. Grandma Mary had her own garden and put up a huge variety of things, but her specialty was her fig preserves. The booze is all Monica - neither one was much on drinking. The extra ingredient yields an exceptional flavor. We hope you like our offerings!
